Up for your consideration is this Hercules brand POWER FLOW heating oil energizer. Each bottle is 16 oz. and will treat 275 gallons of oil. Using this treatment (according to the bottle) will; provide more heat from less fuel, cleans and treats fuel oil systems, disperses water, melts ice, cleans strainers, filters, nozzles, pumps, burner, controls waxing & jelling, dissolves sludge, inhibits internal tank rust, and more. Most important is that it CONSERVES ENERGY, and REDUCES OIL WASTE! There is always water in fuel oil, but some will downplay the existence of it and the problems it can create. Oil pumped from a cold delivery truck's tank into a warm basement tank condenses the moisture around the tank and the filler neck into tiny droplets of water which gravity brings down into the tank. Also, water can enter a tank when it is being filled during a rain or snow storm. When water mixes with fuel oil,an "algea" is produced in the form of sludge. Water pulls the gum from the fuel oil which then builds up on the burner parts as varnish, and reduces efficiency. Filters work great to remove particulate matter such as dirt and sand, but they do nothing to stop water. Brand new and never used. No visible flaws in appearance. First quality, suitable for a gift. Like new condition. Upon close inspection some very minor signs of use or wear, but no serious flaws. Obviously used but kept in great conditional and well cared for. Expected normal signs of wear but no abuse. Clearly used allot, enough to cause significant signs of wear. See item description for more details on further future use.
