Can be used with just about ant 12 volt DC equipment in your vehicle.Connections and settings are self-explainitory. If you don't know how to wire it up please get someone who does know. Used and in good working condition. The ChargeGuard unit provides protection for the battery against excessive discharge, yet the convenience of having your CB radio and other electrical accessories operable when you need them regardless of whether the ignition switch is on or not. The unit contains 5 features to protect your battery from excessive discharge and additional protection especially important for electronic accessories. * The unit contains built in sensors, that automatically turns on your electrical accessories when the vehicle engine is started and supports a maximum 30 ampere electrical accessory current load. When the engine is shut off, the accessories remain on for a variable period of time that you select from 15 minutes to 15 hours. The delay timer selection is made by a DIP switch setting in one hour increments of time. * The second feature is a low voltage detector, that at 11 volts, will take priority over the delay timer and turns the output off within 15 minutes. If the voltage drops further to 10 volts, the output is turned off immediately. This protects a poorly charged battery from excessive discharge, regardless of the remaining delay programmed in the DIP switches. Both conditions are reset when the engine is started. * In situations where the battery is failing and the motor can not be started or, the alternator has failed, the fourth feature provides a convenient method to turn on your attached electrical accessories for example, for emergency communications on the CB radio to get assistance. There is a button on the end of the unit, that when pressed, restores power to the electrical accessories for approximately 15 minutes. * The fifth feature prevents the unit from operating with reversed polarity to protect the attached electrical accessories from reverse voltage damage. Summary of My Selling Policies We try to describe each item accurately, however we are not experts on every item we have for sale. We try to show several pictures of the item for your evaluation. We try to photograph all parts and accessories that are included. If you don't see it in the picture then assume it is not included, if it arrives with your item then you will be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed. We provide power cords when possible unless stated otherwise. We also try to include a free used toner cartridge with laser printers when possible. These toner cartridges are provided so that you may start using your laser printer upon receipt but because the toners are used and near end of life they may show defects in the prints they produce. This is the fault of the free used toner cartridge and not the fault of the printer itself. These printing defects are not covered by our no DOA warranty or any other implied warranty. Once you install a new or known good toner cartridge then you can expect good prints from your printer. Our No DOA warranty also does NOT cover Batteries, or "consumable" items such as, but not limited to Toner / Ink cartridges, photo drums, etc. Contact us using the "Ask seller a question" link above.
