Don't let the small size of this Solder Sucker fool you! This tool creates a tremendous vacuum when the plunger is triggered. It's kind of funny, I used this exact tool for years before I realized they made a larger version; guess I lead a pretty secluded life... This Sucker is 7-1/2 inches long and 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Its small size makes it an excellent choice for your traveling tool kit. To use, simply depress the plunger, melt the solder to be removed with you iron and push the release button, that's it! Solder removed. A little tip I've learned through the years; add a little fresh solder to the joint your trying to remove before using the solder sucker. This seems to help melt the old solder much quicker and more thouroughly. Please feel free to email me any questions you may have.
