Neodymium 1" x 1/2" x 1/8" Block
If you have not heard of Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets before, not to worry. They are in the family of Rare Earth magnets with Neodymium being the absolute strongest type of magnet available. They are even sometimes called permanent magnets.
This is a very nice size of a block magnet. They are incredibly strong and can be used for many things. I personally use two of them on my Brita water jug. Supposedly polarized water helps your digestion and makes you feel better. I have noticed a definite taste difference, for the better, in my water.
Another use I have seen for these is attached to the oil filter of a car. It would help in catching those tiny metal particles that like to cause damage to your engine that might slip through your filter. Just place one or two of these on the outside of the oil filter. I have seen the same thing advertised for nearly £15.00 on the web - this will save you bundles!
I wouldn't recommend this magnet as a toy as if allowed to slam together it will probably break and can also create quite a pinch if your skin gets caught between two. Great for all other uses though.

Combined is for when combining with another item that has the same or higher PP&H
Neodymium magnets have an incredibly powerful magnetic field. Extreme care should be taken when dealing with some of the larger sizes. Even a pair of 1/2"x1/8" discs can cause a reasonably uncomfortable pinch. Separating magnets may be difficult and will most likely require that you slide them apart as you probably will not be able to pull them apart.
Neodymium magnets tend to be brittle and can shatter into small pieces if allowed to slam together. They are also not suitable for machining due to their brittle nature. Unless otherwise noted, Neodymium magnets will start to lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80c (176F).
