This is the most fascinating laser diode I've ever seen. This is the heart of the famous SDL -5762 MOPA LASER that were last made in 99' when JDS Uniphase bought the co.. MOPA stands for ( Master Oscillator Power Amplifier). and this one is a combination on one chip of the Amplifier and seed laser to produce 1/2 watt of single mode 670nm laser light as seen in my tests of the chip. You will need 2 drivers to power it. There are 3 connections on the back of the chip. One for the seed laser anode @ 150ma's, one for the amplifier anode @ 2.0 Amps, and one for the 2 cathodes tied together from both drivers. You will need to add your own cooling via tec or coolant pump. I used a modified High Heatload pkg. from a dead 1.2 watt laser w/tec intact. Only have the one for now, but I may be able to get one or two more. I will include the little wiring harness shown in the pic for the 3 connections. Laser assembly will be carefully bolted to an anti-static box w/dessicant. Be carefull of touching the fine wires on the laser.
