This RTSE200A3 is an Automatic Transfer switch designed to be mounted as the main service entrance point. This unit is rated Nema 3R outdoor enclosure. This unit is designed to transfer power of a 200 Amp Service drop. This would allow the use of all circuits connected to the home. However, the generator output would determine who many amps could be used at the same time. The advantage of this type of transfer switch is being able to run any circuit in the home. As this unit is service entrance rated, you will connect the switch as the Main disconnect.The unit has 2- 200 amp single phase 120/240 volt breakers that are mounted so that when one is on, the other is off. This will transfer power from utility to back-up with main breaker disconnect means in line.
