The Nature of Cotton Hydromulch Cotton, by nature, is porous, absorbent and biodegradable; an unaltered and near-perfect foundation for hydromulch. Companioned with straw and patent-pending blend of additives and tackifiers, GeoSkin Cotton Hydromulch is not only strong, but earth-loving, easy to apply and most importantly, demonstrates unprecedented results in erosion control and seed establishment. It is non-toxic and will not harm wildlife, fish or water quality. Soil Stays Put So Seed Can Take Root and Grow GeoSkin's patent-pending cotton and straw fiber matrix forms as a result of cotton's natural ability to provide strength, absorbency and porosity. As it seals the soil, a frame of sorts is formed that can sustain the weight of ideal abosrbency. This same frame is the foundation for a honeycomb seal that adheres to the soil, enhancing moisture retention for optimum seed-soil contact and superior erosion control. GeoSkin is also the only hydromulch in the industry that provides the nearly ideal 38:1 carbon to nitrogen ratio essential for soil health and seed growth. In short, soil stays put and is nurtured so seed can take root and grow. Easy to Apply. No Tank Residue. GeoSkin's ease of application makes for even coverage and appealing visual results. It flows smoothly through the applicator hose for thick, even coverage that is as appealing to the eye in the raw form as the thick, green grass that will replace it. And, it won't de-water in the tank. When the tank is empty of water, it is nearly empty of mulch, too. Retains Moisture for Exceptional Seed Establishment Recommeded Application Guidelines 1. Apply seed, fertilizer and other soil amendments first. 2. Mix up to 50 lbs. (1 bag) of GeoSkin per 100 gallons of water. Confirm loading rates with equipment manufacturer and apply over properly prepared seedbed. 3. Recommended application 1500 - 2500 lbs/acre depending on slope. 4. Rough surfaces may require higher application rates to achieve proper coverage. Not recommended for channels or areas of concentrated water flow. May be applied on saturated soils. 5.
