This is a new, high-grade, (powersolutions)4.5 HP single cylinder, air-cooled, crank-start diesel engine, 4.5 HP max at 3,000 RPM, made in China still in the crate, a very special 105 amp(max)(1.5 KW) alternator, re-built with "iceberg" finned rear housing, large front AND rear (metal) internal fan to improve cooling, and the "new and much improved" rectifier with a better heat sink and housing for increased heat transfer. Turns on at 1700 RPM, and has 14.9 volts output. Also the nuts and bolts, and metal pieces (and even the belt!) to put them together. Just mount them on a 3 foot 2X12 or ? Am told these alternators will deliver close to 80% efficiency, but we have not tested for that yet. Fuel burn of about 1 pint/HR. Tank holds 3 liters. If you add an exhaust heat exchanger also (not included), you can get a very high % efficiency. The completed unit weighs about 100 pounds, and is 22" tall, 28" long, and 12" wide. If you do not wish to loosen the belt for easier starting, you can mount directly, and a pic is shown of that, also. The bracket for that mounting will be curved, not straight as shown. Yes, the engine shown with the kit is an air-cooled diesel, 4.5 HP. We can sub one of the water-cooled 5.7 HP diesel engines for $100 more. Ideal for practical, long-term remote power, or backup power, or charging batteries, or, or... Runs on vegoil biodiesel, ULO, and of course, the new yellow-green crappy diesel. The engine comes with a few tools, and a start crank (handle), plus a 2B v-belt pulley which bolts onto the flywheel. No, the engine does not have a stub shaft.
