For the past 18 years, K.T. Design has been designing and building custom machinery and tools. Through these years, we have had many press and press tooling applications. As a result of these experiences, our assembly press has been designed with adjustability for ergonomic concerns, a long stroke for clearance and a deep throat for tooling. Our Light Duty Assembly Press Specifications are as follows: * Ideal for light assembly and modification of products * Press rating 100 lbs., 4 to 1 Mechanical Advantage (25 lbs. pull on handle = 100 lbs. at ram) * 1" diameter center steel ram and 1/2" precision tooling hole with split collar clamp design * Ram Stroke 3 1/2" Max. (in 170 degree handle rotation) with full precision adjustment * Ram centerline to column distance is 5 3/8" * Ram to base plate open height 3 1/2" min. to 7 1/2" max. with precision adjustment in 1/2" increments * Press Handle adjusts from 5" to 7" with rotation adjustment in 60 degree increments * Torsion spring provides auto-retraction of press ram; Can be adjusted for balance with moderate tooling loads * Aluminum base plate provides tool mounting as follows: 1" reamed center hole, two 5/16-18 threaded holes, 1.250 off-center; These same 5/16-18 holes are counter-bored from back side for 1/4" socket head capscrews * All moving components ride in bronze bearings * Overall dimensions: 18" H x 4" W x 9" D (Not including handle knob) Quotes on custom tooling for your press applications are available upon request!
