Thermoflect is a newly developed, safe Weld Spatter Control Coating which is painted onto welding jigs, fixtures or any critical component or tool which requires protection from Weld Spatter. The item is supplied as a Starter kit with 250ml of bonding coat, Binder 42, Thermoflect Coating in 120gm container with separate activator, complete with mixing paddle and brush. Each 120gms container is sufficent to provide approximately 0.3 to 0.5 square metre coverage depending on application. After cleaning and an initial bonding coat is applied (allow 20 mins drying time according to ambient temperature Thermoflect is simply applied by brush after adding the catalyst and it takes only 45 minutes to cure to a semi-permanent protective coating which resists any weld spatter adhesion and build-up for up to 6 months. Once applied this protection is generally effective for quite some time period extending to a number of months. Any weld spatter which is visible is easily wiped away. When the coating starts to become less effective it is a simple matter to re-coat when you would normally only need the Thermoflect Coating (activator included) and Thermoflect Cleaner.
