This is described on a military cross reference website as a Sensor, Opaque, Parti... I assume the Parti is cut off and should complete as Particle? Anyway, this is a part made by Electric Boat Company. I think it might be somekind of sensor that mounts in the hull of a boat or submarine? I don't know. I do know that our military paid $25,000.00 for it. Looks like it is made of high grade stainless steel. Under the grey cap are some little terminals possible where you would interface to the sensor. Would make a great paper weight! This thing has numbers all around the bezel: These numbers crosses to NSN 6350013805320.
