This is a Tormach Tooling System (TTS) 3/8" set screw holder. The Tormach Tooling System offers features not normally associated with classic R8 and Morse taper spindles. TTS provides: * Better Height Repeatability * Reduced Clearance Requirements * Easy Off-Line Height Measurement Full details of the system can be found at http:// /Product_TTS.html. This particular tool holder is similar to the standard TTS 3/8" holder (PN 30137) but includes a small groove in the outer ring. The groove does not impact performance or accuracy in any way. The groove was added to support testing by 3rd party companies in relation to the development of an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) utilizing TTS. Automatic Tool Changers are now in production, but the groove geometry selected for the ATC is different than the groove in these tools, thus this is obsolete inventory.
