The patented top jaw design and self centering capabilities ensure a tight grip on a wide range of stock. To increase longevity of the chuck, the body is nickel plated and the base jaws and scroll are hardened. If SAFETY is a concern, the patented over extension prevention system literally makes it impossible for the jaws to come loose from the chuck during operation.
