Unlike many of the fabrics currently used, Torch Wear® will not char, shrink, or burn when exposed to heat or flame. The fabric is not chemically treated. It is a yarn created by spinning Oxidized Polyacrylonitrile (O-PAN) with an Aramid strengthening agent. This formula results in a product with amazing heat and fire resistance.
