This Model EHT MACK Logging Tractor-Trailer is working in the Pacific Northwest, taking on a load of logs from ROW RIVER LUMBER CO., Dorena, Oregon. Actual date is unknown, but most likely in the 1940s. Note the Mack has only one windshield wiper and rear view mirror, with hood side-covers removed for additional cooling. Mack built 31,539 Model EH’s between 1936 and 1950 in the medium-duty E-Series line. Engines ranged from 310-cid gasoline engines to the 457-cid diesel, and generally were regarded as having a 40,000 lbs. GCW. The “T†designated that the Mack was built as a tractor, not a truck. Reverse side of this print contains a 1945 photo of a line-up of 11 EHT and LJT MACKS operated by ALABAMA HIGHWAY EXPRESS, INC. in May 1945. This is a print carefully removed from a book on Mack trucks, not a copy, printed on quality paper. The image is very clear, showing a good deal of detail, as a print in a quality book should be. All edges are good, no rips, no marks, no mildew.
