Denton Vacuum DV-502A E-Beam Evaporator When I took the plate off (it had screws centering it but no nuts underneath, so it just came right off) I immediately noticed there were some nuts and bolts type hardware lying around the perimeter of the pump opening, and the vacuum flap was open. I didn’t drop anything down into it, but it would be prudent to change the diffusion pump oil and make sure there are no stray objects in there before you fire it up. The diffusion pump may be proprietary Denton, I don’t see any manufacturer or model info on it. There is a tag, but it is faded from heat and age and I can’t read it. Unlike a DV-502 I recently sold, there isn’t any place inside the unit for a roughing pump to sit, so none are included. I have several Welch and a Cenco, plus a variety of rotary vane vacuum pumps, so if you need something like that let me know and I am sure we can come to some sort of arrangement.
