HP 4140A pA Meter / DC Voltage Source. With Option 101 (HPIB Interface) It's used for remote control and data output via the HP-IB. This unit comprises a high stability pA Meter with 10^(15)A max. resolution coupled with two programmable DC voltage sources to ensure useability in many application areas. The pA meter of the 4140A has a basic accuracy of 0.5% over wide measurement ranges (+/-0.001 x 10^(12)A~+/-1900 x 10^2A) enabling stable pA current measurement at 10^(15)A (+/-1 count). This stable and fast measurement technique is very useful, not only for the measurement of the small leakage currents of semiconductor devices and the static characteristics of FET's, but also for making insulation resistance/leakage, current/absorption measurements/ analyses of capacitance and insulation materials.
