This piston vise has many improvements over other designs I have used. The new adjustable side linkage and degree lines make setup a breeze. It's quick release cam lever is also a big time saver. CNC Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and then hard anodized in black. Will accept pistons from 3.5"(88.9mm) to 4.75"(120mm), and will accept 2.5"(63.5mm) pistons with adapter (sold separately). Will accept piston pins from .600"(16mm) to 1.100" (28mm). Other designs which incorporate a threaded rod require approximately 10 full revolutions of the handle, in order to remove the piston. Approximately 8 seconds to close and another 8 seconds to open. When balancing a set of pistons one may need to remove & replace each piston up to 3 times as you weigh each one. 16 sec x 8 pistons x 3 moves = 384 seconds or 6.4 minutes.
