NetTool combines cable, network, and PC configuration testing in one palm-sized tool, so you'll have everything you need to quickly resolve even the toughest connectivity problem. NetTool includes a cable-testing capability, eliminating the need for a separate basic cable tester. NetTool is capable of simultaneous monitoring network health (frames sent, utilization, broadcasts, errors, collisions) for full-duplex connections. It provides a Problem Log that concisely lists problems detected on the PC and network such as addressing issues, email and web problems. The additional benefits include individual frame counts for both the desktop and the network conversations, and showing protocol mismatches between the PC and the network, with unwanted protocols identification. Also offers 25 instances of the ping tool and 25 instances of the reporting capability normally found only on the NetTool Pro. Additional instances can be purchased through a license key from Fluke. The Fuke Networks NetTool can be used by anyone! A few button pushes and you can see the problem or test connectivity. This saves calling out the big guns to run down a disabled or unwired port. You can also use it to estimate the distance to a fault, although I have never had to. Cable testing, response times, statistics and PC configurations can be done as well.
