The Tap is new and in its original container. It is made from High Speed Steel and has ground threads. Morse has gained an international reputation for quality and in our opinion is the preeminent name in cutting tools. Spiral Point Bottoming Taps are designed for machine tapping in blind holes with adequate chip space at the bottom of the hole. The point ejects the chips ahead of the tap, eliminating chip disposal problems and thread damage.
