I personally polished this beauty until my lathe gave out! I left of at 8000 grit on my lathe it it needs 10,000 to complete it (I saved you 8 hours of work on this item!) THICKNESS (diameter is .128 inches) I do not know the doping level of this rod These rods were originally manufactured for the US Military. Can be used for communication systems like guidance and medical applictions, sugury, dentistry, etching, engraving, carving into metals and non metals Can be used to make jewelry great for Hobbiests for Science labs, students, instructors and everyone!
