This instrument had an unusually long production run. Even today, it has excellent performance when compared to current products. It uses a phase-locked vernier interpolating technique in which the interpolating oscillators are locked to the time base. This technique allows positive, zero, and negative time interval measurements. A resident microprocessor provides statistical data such as mean, standard deviation, max, or min for repetitive signals. High resolution frequency and period measurements can also be made with gate times from 1 period to 1 second. Condition: Reconditioned and Performance Tested to meet manufacturers specifications. Clean unit inside and out. Physically inspected, hardware re-torqued, connectors treated with a preservative, controls and switches lubricated as appropriate, power supply electrolytics tested. Burned in for 72 hours and then performance tested. All knobs and switches are in good condition. The Display Rate knob insert is missing. Instrument panel has worse than normal scratches. The top cover has black marks that will not remove with normal cleaning. One side handle is missing. This is a fully functional 5370B at a reduced price due to the cosmetics. What do our grades mean?
