Sony SSC-M383 Low Light B/W Camera Body The Sony SSC-M383 is a high quality black and white video camera that integrates an auto iris feature. Its low light sensitivity gives it great flexibility in high-security areas where lighting may be inconsistent. It is both 24-volt AC and 12-volt DC compatible so it will fit into almost any existing security system. A 1/3-inch CCD imager guarantees excellent quality images with the detail you require. • High Resolution for High Security Areas This camera outputs 570 horizontal lines of resolution that is greater than most standard monitors can display. Less than 0.1 Lux (with a fast f/1.2 lens) will provide enough illumination to capture the detailed images for your industrial uses. And its lightweight means that special reinforced mounting is not necessary. This scenario could lead to underexposing the objects in the foreground- possibly your subject. This camera has a backlight compensation feature that exposes for the foreground and objects that would be otherwise be shadowed. In generally low lighting environments the camera has a gain-up feature that raises the base level of the video signal. This digital feature brightens the entire scene giving greater brightness than might be seen with the human eye.
