- This is a BRAND NEW blue laser diode removed from a brand new PS3's (Sony Playstation 3) Blu-Ray disk drive. - The laser diode runs at around 3V to 4.5V. and puts out a blue/violet ~405nm beam at around 26mw with a good cooling mechanism (like TEC). - Operating current is around 30 to 40 mA. - Basicly the same as the Nichia diodes that cost well over $700. - The laser diode was removed from a brand new PS3 very carefully under anti-static conditions. - I will also include a set of photographs and diagrams (in a PDF that I put together) with this diode that should help you with getting this diode and your project ready for use! Take a look at our website! We also have BRIR diodes in stock! -Don't be fooled by cheap imported laser diodes! They tend to break, have mode shifts, and change frequencies and wattages. These are High Quality laser diodes from PS3s! They are very stable diodes. Blue laser diodes are fairly hard to come by. Out of the few diodes that you can choose from, these are definately of the highest quality! If you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
